Intense Pulsed Light

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a non-invasive aesthetic treatment for skin rejuvenation and the removal of minor imperfections. It consists of high-intensity pulsed light that is absorbed by the skin’s pigments. This reduces skin spots caused by sun exposure, treats facial veins or vascular dilations, and stimulates collagen production, improving the skin’s texture and appearance. The result is comprehensive photorejuvenation
of the treated area.

APPLICATION

It is applied in different sessions to gradually improve the skin’s appearance.

No anesthesia required.

NO RECOVERY TIME

Allows immediate return to daily activities.

RESULTS

Results are noticeable within a few days of the first session.

BENEFITS

DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS

It is important not to be tanned and to avoid self-tanners before treatment (at least 2-4 weeks prior).

If you are taking minocycline, tetracycline, doxycycline, or using creams with retinoic acid or tretinoin, you must discontinue them ten days before each treatment.

After treatment, mild redness, darkening of brown spots, and slight swelling are normal. These symptoms will resolve within several hours to one week. You may apply makeup if desired.

Adequate sun protection is essential, especially during the first month after the procedure, and regularly to maintain results.

It is common to begin with a treatment of 3 sessions spaced one month apart, but this will depend on each patient’s degree of photoaging.

Over time and with sun exposure, new lesions may appear.

Treatment is not recommended for patients:

  • Pregnant
  • Tanned skin
  • Treatments with photosensitizing medications
